The Brooke Charity
Brooke is an organization founded to educate and support the millions of working donkeys, mules and horses in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. The lives of the animals that the Brooke family of experts – vets, knowledgeable local horsemen, administrators and a huge helping of volunteers – are forever changed and improved, because their owners are better educated and equipped to care for the animals that they use for work, to earn their living and that their families depend on. We know how hard these animals are worked and any help with regards to their care and welfare goes a very long way to improve their lives.
Brooke is an international charity that protects and improves the lives of horses, donkeys and mules which give people in the developing world the opportunity to work their way out of poverty.

They have also expanded to include a US organization, BrookeUSA and a Netherlands organization, Brooke NL. All with the same goal.
